Esalen's Epicurean Brunch Bacchanal

Esalen Institute, a beautiful place where mind, body, and spirit converge, invites you to join us for a delightful plant-forward, organic farm & garden -to-table experience. Our own Super Natural Chef, Kari Bernardi, will join Esalen’s culinary team to present a bounty highlighting the incredible offering of Esalen's campus farm. 

Each course will be paired with our talented local winemaker Ian Brand's line-up from I. Brand & Family Winery.  In addition to showcasing each of his outstanding wines, from his three labels, Paysan, La Marea and I. Brand & Family, we will be including a few friendly sips from other winery partners connected to Ian and his program of working with grape growers focused on sustainable practices within our local wine-making community.

Guests can enjoy brunch, a tour of the property farm, these exclusive grounds (not open to the public), and relax in the healing waters of Esalen's cliffside natural and historic hot springs until 5:00 pm.

Please note the brunch menu is a curated experience and no food restrictions can be accommodated. 

Shuttle to this event at Esalen Institute is MANDATORY and details will follow.

The 26th Annual Ferrari Event at The Barnyard


The Barnyard Carmel celebrates its 26th year of hosting this annual event, curated by and benefitting The Big Sur Food & Wine Foundation. Ferrari owners and aficionados can spend the early evening in the beautiful gardens at The Barnyard, while the Ferrari Owners Club will be on hand to showcase their vintage and new model Ferraris.  Ferrari owners who are not FOC members are welcome to register too! Please note: Exhibitors will have priority entry to the wine reception. EACH person in the vehicle must have their own ticket to this wine event.

The Big Sur Food & Wine Foundation's Wine Director will hand select wineries to pour tastings (you may keep your fine Riedel glass!) while guests enjoy small bites offered by some of the Barnyard Carmel restaurants. We anticipate the yearly 100 registered exhibitor cars.

The weather is predicted to be warm and sunny and we'll have live music playing from the O'Callaghan's Terrace.

Monterey holds deep history with one of the most famous events, The Dizzy Dali Dinner: A Surrealistic Night in an Enchanted Forest, held in 1941 at The Del Monte Hotel. To date, this dinner is touted be one of the greatest parties everyone talked about but only a few could attend.

Highly inspired by the sensorial and visceral alchemy of Dali’s dinner party, we invite you into a world of epicurean “self-expression without the filter of reason,” consummated with fine wine, the magical component of communication, depth and secrets.
