Our Mission
The Big Sur Food & Wine Festival started as a way to showcase the many culinary, wine-making and cultural talents of this special stretch of California coast. As an all-volunteer organization, we collaborate with talented individuals who pour their passion into this event and with generous sponsors and community members who champion our cause. In 2024, we anticipate surpassing the $1M mark in cumulative grants to the Big Sur community, from Palo Colorado to the South Coast to help support their greatest needs.
The Big Sur Food & Wine Festival is a project of the Big Sur Food & Wine Foundation, a 501c-3 non profit charitable fundraiser created to be a vehicle of support to the Big Sur community. Its intention is to stimulate the local economy and donate event proceeds to support local nonprofits that benefit Health, Safety, Education and The Arts.

The Big Sur Fashion Show
Much more than a fashion show, this event has become a leadership development program for participants and is Big Sur’s largest community arts event of the year.
