Christopher Watts is the Executive Chef at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa, the beloved luxury year-round resort located in the seaside hamlet of Montauk, New York. Chef Watts oversees the resort’s robust culinary team as well as the property’s multiple gastronomic destinations and seasonal programs. Chef Watts joined the Gurney’s Resorts team in May 2022, bringing with him over ten years of experience in the food and beverage industry, having held positions at establishments across the world, from California to the U.S. Virgin Islands. A Southern California native, Chef Watts began his culinary journey by attending the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Over the course of his career, Chef Watts has served as a chef at some of the country’s most popular dining destinations including the Grand Pallazo Club at The Ritz Carlton, Georis Wineries, and Carmel Valley Ranch. Most recently, Chef Watts served as Executive Chef of Saltwood Kitchen and Oysterette where he created seasonal farm-to-table menus in close partnership with local artisans and purveyors. He looks forward to continuing this localized approach to menu creation at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa, whose dining outposts are known for their use of the freshest local ingredients sourced from Long Island’s east end.
