Mission Statement

The Big Sur Food and Wine Festival is a giving organization that holds events to promote Big Sur as a culinary destination, supporting the overall health, character and vitality of the Big Sur community.  Its intention is to stimulate the local economy and give a portion of event proceeds to support local nonprofits, arts and education programs, sustainability projects, and talented Big Sur residents who would greatly benefit themselves and the community through a wine and/or culinary scholarship.

Beneficiaries

The Big Sur Food and Wine Festival raises funds for our community, one of the most unique  places in the world. Our vision is to promote Big Sur as a culinary destination, and raise funds for the community's three essential (and underfunded) local services: Health, Education, and Safety.

In its first year, the Big Sur Food and Wine Festival helped raise nearly $20,000 for the Big Sur community.

We Need You!

We are looking for all kinds of donations for our silent and live auctions, local housing on the event weekend for winemakers, chefs and volunteers, additional sponsors and more. Who We Are

It takes a huge amount of work to put on this festival, and we are blessed with a small but dedicated group of founding members who meet regularly and spend an inordinate amount of time of the details to make your enjoyment of this weekend possible. Without their diligence, knowledge, and passion for this community, our Festival would not exist.
